Cost Lawyer/Draftsman

Liverpool/Hybrid

Hours: Full Time, Flexible

Salary: Competitive (To be discussed)

Are you seeking a new challenge in the legal sector? An opportunity has arisen for a talented Cost Lawyer/Costs Draftsperson to join a leading law firm based in Liverpool.

Joining a dynamic team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting various legal departments, including Clinical Negligence, Court of Protection, Civil Liberties, General Litigation, Family, and Immigration.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a legal costs role, preferably with a focus on Claimants
  • Strong ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks
  • Proficiency with Cost Master and Proclaim software
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive and approachable attitude towards work

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering efficient and timely service to clients in line with departmental SLAs
  • Independently managing a caseload from inception to completion
  • Handling various tasks including preparing Bills of Costs, Costs Budgets, and conducting negotiations
  • Striving to achieve personal and departmental KPIs
  • Maintaining up-to-date legal and cost knowledge through CPD training
