Situated in the heart of Cardiff, this firm is seeking a diligent and experienced Costs Draftsperson to enhance their esteemed Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Team.

This permanent, full-time contract boasts a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, reflecting the significance and impact of the role within the organisation.

The appointed Costs Draftsperson will be instrumental in drafting and negotiating costs, providing robust support throughout the lifecycle of legal cases, and delivering strategic advice on developments in legal costs.

Key responsibilities include the meticulous drafting of Bills of Costs, preparation of Points of Dispute and Replies, and managing costs claims across a spectrum of values and sectors. The role demands active participation in Costs and Case Management Conferences, Application Hearings, and Detailed Assessments, as well as the preparation of Precedent H and R Costs Budgets.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years' experience in costs drafting, either in-house or with an external provider, and will have completed a Costs Lawyer Professional Qualification or its equivalent. A proven ability to navigate high-pressure environments and meet stringent deadlines, KPIs, and SLAs is essential. The role requires a team player who can also excel independently, managing a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.

Exceptional communication skills, a passion for cost work, and a commitment to delivering a superior service are paramount. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, superb problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in core skills such as numeracy, literacy, and Microsoft Excel.
