A well-established costs firm in Yorkshire is expanding its team and seeking a Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson with 2-3 years of experience in handling a diverse caseload. This remote position offers an opportunity to work independently while contributing to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload consisting of fast track and multi-track Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, and Commercial claims.
  • Draft bills, replies, budgets, and other costs-related documents.
  • Negotiate settlements and prepare for Costs Case Management Conferences (CCMCs).
  • Collaborate with clients, solicitors, and barristers to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.
  • Work independently while maintaining effective teamwork.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Costs Lawyer or Draftsperson.
  • Competent in all aspects of costs drafting.
  • Experience attending CCMCs is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
