Cost Controller

I'm recruiting for a cost controller to join a client of mine on an initial 6 month contract. This role will be inside IR35 paying £492 per day. The successful candidate will also need to work on site full time based in Somerset. There may be the possibility to work remotely one day per week.

Under the responsibility of the Project Cost Control & Finance Manager and within Project Control, you will be responsible for cost control of the Construction/Commissioning scope and will interface with the client on matters relating to finance

Key Skills and experiences:

  • 3 years experience
  • Good knowledge of accounting mechanisms
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP and Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pro-activity and adaptability
  • Team-working, ability to work with multiple business interfaces in cross-functional management
  • Ability to understand technical issues
  • Ability to evolve in complex organisations, with high achievement challenges
  • Ability to organise and prioritise
  • Ability to adapt to changes in project priorities
  • Qualifications
  • Master degree (Audit, financial or cost control) or engineering degree.
  •  Experience in similar roles within an audit firm or in project management control, ideally in an industrial sector.
