We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Controller and you MUST be from a Manufacturing background to be successful and this will involve travel to Austria

As the Cost Controller my client can offer the role to be hybrid once you have passed your probation, once successful you will work in Wigston with parking working 37.5 hours hours, Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 4.45pm and Friday 8am - 2pm which offers a work life balance and you will be part of a small established team with great opportunities

As the Cost Controller listed below are some of your duties

Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial reporting including actual/target deviation analysis to the management.

Reporting to Group: Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports specifically tailored for reporting to the corporate group.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop, monitor, and analyse budgets and financial plans.

Cost Analysis: Support the Head of Production Planning / Cost Analysist in analysing manufacturing cost data, including raw materials, labour, overhead, and other expenses. Leverage the system's capabilities to perform in-depth cost analysis.

ERP System Enhancement: Collaborate with Head of Production Planning / Cost Analysist & IT and the relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing the ERP system's functionalities specifically related to cost analysis, inventory valuation, and production costing.

Audit Support: Assist in coordinating external audits and support the finance team during audits.

Sustainability Engagement Objective: Collaborate with headquarters to facilitate data collection and reporting.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.

Travel: Willingness to travel as required for meetings and collaboration with the group finance team.

To be successful as the Cost Controller we are looking for the following

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and financial principles is a plus.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and financial principles.

Some experience in cost analysis or cost accounting within manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise in utilizing ERP system

Basic knowledge of UK accounting standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

High level of integrity and ethical conduct
