Corporate Tax Manager
My client, an instantly recognisable media company are looking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their well-established tax function. This role will offer invaluable exposure to both tax compliance and advisory work within a dynamic, fast-growing group, broadening your skill set across a range of tax matters. The successful candidate will be reporting directly into the Group Head of Tax and will have the opportunity to get excellent exposure into the wider finance team.
The business has gone from strength to strength and offers superb flexibility with a hybrid-working scheme in their HQ in Central London. This role is paying up to £85,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns in accordance with relevant regulations and deadlines
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with new requirements
- Work closely with external advisors to optimise the corporate tax position of the company
- Lead the VAT compliance process, ensuring accurate and timely submission across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage one direct report with ensuring accurate data is provided
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise overall tax position
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions
- Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified preferred
- Experience in a mixed tax role covering both corporate and VAT compliance
- Experience within a multinational or Big 4 accounting firm is desirable
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax and VAT regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
