Our client is one of the fastest growing independent accounting and business advisory firms in the UK and is listed as a Top 100 Accountancy Firm by Accountancy Age. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Services Audit Manager to join their team based in Banbury. 

Your role will be to plan, organise and manage a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Services department. Providing a cost-effective, timely, quality service to the client, to enhance client experience and productivity for the Firm.

In addition to client management, the role will contribute to overall practice development particularly in audit, accounts preparation, and outsourcing work for corporate clients. This will be achieved through building strong relationships internally and externally to effectively deliver projects and grow members of the team, creating a sustainable and driven team

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent client service efficiently and promptly.
  • Respond promptly to client and third-party queries.
  • Progress role and delegate tasks effectively to enhance team efficiency and skill development.
  • Develop expertise in client businesses to serve as primary contact for daily matters.
  • Review and finalize audit files and tax work from junior staff.
  • Conduct staff appraisals and provide necessary feedback and training.
  • Identify business opportunities and support partners with value-added assignments.
  • Assist partners in managing work in progress (WIP) and billing.
  • Monitor and meet deadlines for various tasks such as filings and tax returns.
  • Plan and supervise work efficiently in coordination with partners and staff.

Key Skills & Qualifications: 

  • ACA / ACCA qualification or qualified by experience
  • FCA/ FCCA desireable
  • Minimum of 4 years post Qualification proven experience within a large audit practice environment
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing staff within a practice environment
  • In-depth knowledge of audit and accounts preparation
  • Corporate taxation knowledge
  • Solid MS Office product knowledge
  • Ability to review and complete audit and accounts files quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Excellent problem-resolution skills and ideas generation ability
  • Strong marketing, networking, and business development skills
  • Pro-active management skills, resulting in high-performance teams
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

Salary:

  • £55,000 - £65,000
