Operational Tax Manager (UK)


Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing tax department within a global fintech business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the big 4 or top 10 accountancy practice, with a deep understanding of operational taxes, with a key desire to move into an in-house role.

This role demands a high level of sophistication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape within the fintech space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies for optimal tax efficiency and compliance
  • Utilise tax software platforms for accurate reporting across 10 different jurisdictions
  • Stay compliant with local UK and global tax regulations
  • Oversee financial reporting and team management
  • Conduct research on UK-specific fintech tax issues
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in tax processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (ACA) or equivalent certification, CTA ideal but not a must
  • 6-10 years of professional tax experience gained within practice
