At AXA IM, we act for human progress by investing for what matters, actively and responsibly. Join us and you'll build a career in a truly diverse, entrepreneurial organization. You'll be part of a mission to tackle some of the world's most stimulating challenges, pushing boundaries and exploring fresh ideas that aim to deliver long-term prosperity.

The Corporate Messaging & Campaigns Intern performs an important support role for the CM&C team, taking responsibility for a range of administrative functions (project management, financial/budgetary administration, meeting agendas, minutes and action plans, team organisation and work planning, WIP tracking), as well as supporting the permanent team on projects such as the Sound Progress podcast, the production management of campaign assets, and the creation of measurement and feedback material. The intern is also responsible (with oversight) for the production of the quarterly updated corporate presentation.

A capable and competent intern, who is willing to learn and take responsibility, can take a significant administrative burden from the permanent team, allowing them to focus on the results-focused work which delivers our communications campaigns.

Description of the department:

The Corporate Messaging and Campaigns team exists to lead the planning, development, management and execution of integrated communications campaigns that seek to bring to life our areas of strategic focus as well as our purpose - to act for human progress by investing for what matters.

The team consists of four people: Global Head of Corporate Messaging and Campaigns, Senior Corporate Messaging and Campaigns Manager, Corporate Campaigns Manager and the Corporate Messaging Intern as support.

Our mission is to create and evolve AXA IM's editorial line on key topics in close collaboration with the four Business Units and business families to showcase AXA IM's convictions and purpose in action. Our goal is to develop and drive AXA IM's top-level corporate messaging and campaigns - creating stories and engaging content that brings our brand to life and communicating transparently on how we are taking action to achieve our goals, uncovering stories and creating hero assets that complement campaigns in a compelling, human way.

We work with all our communications colleagues (Internal Communications, Media Relations, Brand & Design, Web & Social Media) as well as other stakeholders such as marketing teams, investment teams, corporate responsibility teams globally and locally.

Our campaigns work sits alongside a range of 'business as usual' work, such as
- Cross-channel communications activities which support initiatives led by our internal stakeholders (such as Corporate Responsibility initiatives, the AXA IM Investment Institute).
- Creating, curating and distributing corporate materials
- Measuring the impact of our communications activity

The CM&C Intern will have a unique opportunity to work in a small, strategic and dynamic team - positioned centrally in a larger global communications team - providing excellent experience working across multiple communications and marketing functions, as we mould AXA IM's corporate communications calendar and campaign strategy.

The role will also give the Intern opportunities to get involved with and gain exposure to wider team initiatives via working groups and the teams' meeting governance role. We run several working groups, which aid in streamlining campaign progress, and bring all the teams involved together to facilitate project delivery.

Beyond this, the Intern will have access to a fully-rounded, whole-business view, learning from colleagues from business units and transversal functions, as well as on occasion from the AXA Group as well.

The main responsibilities of the role:
  • Support the implementation of corporate communications projects, such as podcasts, reports, etc.
  • Project manage corporate communications projects to ensure deadlines are met and projects are moving forward in line with the campaign. This in turn gives exposure to different parts of the business and other comms teams.
  • Participate in idea generation and content creation (including key messages, blog posts, reports, and briefs) for communications campaigns with internal colleagues and agencies.
  • Lead on quarterly updates of the corporate materials which provides an overview of the business and managing ad-hoc requests/ changes.
  • Provide support on budgetary control of communications campaigns.
  • Act as secretary to meetings, drafting agendas and taking minutes to be distributed amongst attendees.
  • Support the team in administration tasks, such as organizing meetings, diaries and work plans.
  • Support the creation of measurement and feedback material after a project or campaign has finished, to report on progress, successes and improvements to be made
