Salary - £45,000 - £50,000

Account Executives are instrumental in the strategic management of our clients' relationships.   The successful candidate will inherit a book of business circa £200k income and further cultivate an existing book of business, fostering growth by identifying new client opportunities across general insurance.

The Role

  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. 
  • Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers. 
  • Ensure timely resolution of client issues and claims. 
  • Establish new and manage strategic partner relationships.  
  • The Corporate Account Executive will foster strong relationships with potential clients, influencers, and suppliers.  
  • Conduct risk assessments for clients and provide recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate favourable terms for clients. 
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and their impact on insurance coverage. 
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice and the Company's own procedures and rules.  
  • Evaluate insurance policies to ensure they meet clients' requirements. 
  • Assist clients in understanding policy terms, conditions, and coverage. 
  • Process policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. 
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation. 
  • Prepare and submit insurance applications and related paperwork. 
  • The Corporate Account Executive will collaborate, support, and develop Account Handler(s) to streamline administrative processes. Provide regular feedback and support to develop Handler's knowledge of client book. 
  • Administer the insurance portfolios of allocated clients in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner.  
  • Identify and prospect potential clients in need of insurance coverage. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients by attending meetings and understanding demands & needs whilst being able to advise and consult on a wide range of covers.  
  • Cultivate recommendations and referrals from existing clients. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to provide full protection needs through appropriate products and services to existing clients.  
  • Analyse clients' insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options. 
  • Retain clients by providing ongoing support and addressing their concerns.  

Your Skills

  • Have experience in a similar role, including evidence of retention and growth of an existing book of business as well as generating and converting new business opportunities.   
  • Experience in dealing with Insurance Markets.  
  • Have a good knowledge of the responsibilities surrounding compliance, FCA requirements and consumer duty.   
  • Good technical knowledge and presentation skills with the ability to present to groups of individuals on topics related to the Commercial Insurance Industry when needed with suitable training and guidance provided.  
  • Innovative & creative individual who can show examples of where this has helped secure business.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are essential.  
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.  
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for client management and analysis.
