Job Title - Corporate Account Executive

Contract - Permanent

Salary -  £55,000

Location - Hertfordshire

About the Role:

A new opportunity for an experienced Corporate Account Executive who will thrive on generating and securing sales, to grow our clients Corporate Commercial business even further. In this new and impactful role, you'll be prospecting, tendering and most importantly, securing sales of mid and large commercial general insurance customers. Working as part of a very well regarded business and with support from the Group you'll be devising strategies for generating commercial leads and developing effective and fruitful business relationships.

Duties:

  • Plan, prospect, select and sell Mid and Large Corporate Commercial General insurance products with support from a central prospecting channel
  • Develop and manage your own pipeline of business that is sufficient to achieve targets
  • Identify, cross sell leads for Financial Services, Risk Management Services, and Financial Lines business
  • Build effective relationships with the Regional teams that will be responsible for administering the Commercial business you win.
  • Work closely with Group colleagues to understand the risk appetite and prospecting opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Field Development and Central Underwriters who will join you on your fact find and provide technical expertise on products and policies.

  • You build up an understanding of customers' businesses, have the ability to negotiate to win the sale, spot opportunities to cross sell and pride yourself on developing solid relationships.

Role Requirements:

  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of sales processes within relevant market
  • Good product and technical knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team/team player
  • Excellent communication time management negotiation presentation and relationship building skills
  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Account campaign management skills
  • CII qualification preferred but not essential

Minimum requirements:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grade C, including Maths and English.
  • Experience of working in a commercial insurance environment
  • Full UK drivers licence
  • Desirable to have CII qualifications or working towards
