Our client, a busy Café near Cranleigh, Surrey is currently looking for a Cook to join their team.

This is a fantastic Cook role offering a great work life balance with hours of work being Monday to Friday, daytimes.

As the Cook you will be responsible for serving a range of breakfast items, lunches, cakes and snacks to customers. Their meals are made fresh to order for both takeaway and eat in customers, so the ideal candidate will have a passion for both freshly cooked food and providing a great customer experience.

This cook position offers a good salary package plus benefits including:

Hours:
* 35 hours per week
* Monday- Friday, 7.30am-3pm
* No weekends

Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Preparing and serving a variety of high quality, appetising and well-presented cook to order breakfasts, light lunches and snacks.
* Gathering feedback from customers and responding to ensure a great customer experience.
* Contributing to menu planning and ideas to drive variety of choice for customers and improved revenue.
* Using a daily cleaning rota to ensure all areas of kitchen are clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard, including fridges, freezers and floor.
* Complying with and implement Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times.
* Working closely with the Chef Manager in the day-to-day operational requirements and provide cover for them when necessary.

Role Requirements:
* Proven experience of cooking & baking in a similar setting (restaurant, café, canteen or pub etc.)
* Qualifications in Food Safety & Hygiene and Understanding Allergens is desirable
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Motivated and hard working with the ability to use own initiative
* Confident and customer focused team player with a positive attitude and passion for good food
* The ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively
* Driving Licence and own transport due to location
