One of our clients are an esteemed leading law firm who are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join their conveyancing department situated in London.

Joining the team presents an exciting prospect to collaborate with seasoned professionals in the conveyancing field within a well-established and successful environment.

The Role

  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, encompassing all facets of the conveyancing process, utilizing the industry's leading case management system.
  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with proven experience in overseeing a mixed portfolio of sale and purchase transactions, including freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, and new build properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload, ensuring adherence to personal targets and deadlines.
  • Proactively oversee transactions while effectively managing client expectations.
  • Assume responsibility for files from inception to completion, maintaining compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Provide clients with pertinent legal advice, ensuring their best interests are represented throughout the transaction.
  • Liaise with counterpart solicitors, mortgage lenders, brokers, clients, and local authorities.
  • Address complex inquiries by conducting thorough research and offering accurate advice.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolving issues to safeguard clients and the business.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Paralegals.

Person Specification:

  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience managing a residential property caseload from start to finish.
  • Essential experience in New Build and Shared Ownership transactions.
  • Profound understanding of property laws and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in document drafting and research.
