The Company

Control and Instrumentation Engineer - circa £55,000 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm)

Nigel Wright is pleased to be working with a dynamic, forward thinking manufacturing business, supporting their search for a Control and Instrumentation Engineer. 

Having invested heavily in new technology, they are looking for an experience engineer to ensure PLC software and hardware is up-to-date and maintained effectively. An ability to highlight potential inefficiencies in process and generate practical engineering solutions is essential.

The Role

Providing high level Controls and Automation expertise to a highly innovative and well invested manufacturing plant. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will programme, modify and develop the onsite controls systems of this complex manufacturing site. 

You will take a pro-active approach to continue to develop an effective strategy to maximise performance and output. Working closely are part of the team, you will look to coach and develop others to improve the site wide performance.   

Person Specification

Extensive experience in development & modification of control systems and PLCs on a complex manufacturing plant. 

Demonstrate well developed communication skills and the ability to coach and support less experienced members of the team.
