Contracts Manager - Insurance Reinstatement Projects

Halifax, Bradford, Huddersfield

£40,000 - £42,000 plus company car

Working for a successful contractor in their insurance repairs division the successful Surveyor / Contracts Manager will be dealing with reinstatements to residential properties in the above-mentioned area.

You will need relevant insurance industry experience (Surveying / Contracts Management) and have a working knowledge of client scoping tools/system(s) such as; Symbility/CoreLogic, Xactimate, Metrix, Synergy.

Job role and responsibilities

• Visiting properties to assess insurance claims damage and identify repairs required
• Producing a scope / schedule of works
• Overseeing a small repairs team (with admin and day to day site supervision support) on a variety of reinstatement jobs up to £50k

• Booking in the relevant trades (direct labour or from approved sub-contractor list)
• Carrying out joint site visits with loss adjusters/surveyors where necessary
• Checking progress of works, dealing with variations, and carrying out audits (larger projects)
• Dealing with the relevant contract administration

What skills/experience will you need?

For this Surveyor / Contracts Manager role, you will need:

• a proven track record of contracts managing domestic property reinstatements/repairs
• an excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry
• ability produce accurate scope / schedule of works
• experience managing works/trades staff to ensure projects finished on time/within budget
• experience/knowledge of Symbility/CoreLogic, Xactimate/Xactware or similar
• to live in or around the Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield or surrounding area.

Package details

In addition to the Surveyor / Contracts Manager salary (negotiable dependent upon experience around £40 - £42k) you will receive a company car, mobile, pension etc.
