Our sustainability team is responsible for ensuring all the homes we provide are energy efficient, low carbon and affordable to heat. They manage the vital works programmes that reduce the emissions and environmental impact of our properties while improving the lives of our residents.

About the role

We are looking for a customer focussed Contract Surveyor to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.

On the Job you will:

  • Act as Contract Surveyor for one or more of Fairhive's retrofit contracts
  • Manage budgets, programmes, quality of works, and contractual and site issues
  • Ensure all programmed work complies with current Building Regulations, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation
  • Oversee financial and performance-related data collection, for reporting and business function purposes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver successful retrofit programmes

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with a diverse range of people and who understands the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to all our customers.

For this role you will need:

  • RICS accreditation in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience of managing and programming contracts
  • Good knowledge of current Building Regulations, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contact law and contract administration
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong numerical and budget management skills
  • The ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined team
  • Sustainability and energy efficiency experience, ideally in a domestic retrofit context
