The Redline Group are working with our customer, a leading designer of safety-critical equipment, in their search for a Contract Firmware Engineer - Embedded C to work on site at their Cambridgeshire offices. Easily commutable from Cambridge, Peterborough and the surrounding areas, this offers the potential of a long-term opportunity to support key new product development through to prototype.

As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing IR35 status, should you wish to operate via your own PSC.

On an initial 6-month contract, you will work with a multi-disciplined team, involved in daily project stand-ups, writing embedded code and assisting in the testing and development phases. This is definitely a role where you have the opportunity to wear many hats and be involved in the complete life-cycle of the project.

Key Skills Required - Contract Firmware Engineer - Embedded C, Cambridgeshire:

- Experience of writing low level embedded C code

- Proven experience of FreeRTOS and Linux operating systems

- An appreciation of electronics schematics
