Contract Carpet Sales Manager - Marine Sector

We are recruiting for a Specialist Sales Manager to focus on the marine market on behalf of a leading, luxury carpet design and manufacturing business.

The company is well placed in the contract market and have been supplying specialist carpet to the commercial and residential sectors for many years. They are well established with a reputable reputation. Their luxury hospitality projects span worldwide and this particular role will focus specifically on the marine industry which will include global cruise, riverboat and ferry sectors.

This role will require someone who has proven sales experience in the contract market sector and preferably someone who has had some experience selling to the marine sector in particular. The role will also involve frequent travel approximately 25% of the time in the UK and Internationally, especially to Ireland and the United States. Therefore, experience gained living or working abroad or frequently travelling abroad for work will be desirable.

Duties will involve:

Developing the global marine sales strategy for the company

Undertake market visits to global marine accounts for interior design projects

Responsible for overseeing the development of business with all stakeholders in the Company’s marine sector; including cruise operators, shipyards, marine, designers, contractors and installation teams.

Along with the Sales Director set targets and agree marketing activities to support the sales development.

Ensure all marine certification is updated and maintained

Establish pricing strategies, which achieve divisional targets

Attend carpet project management meetings as required

Candidates could be based in either the UK or Ireland. This is a full time, permanent role, Monday to Friday. Competitive basic plus commission. All salary levels considered.
