Consultant Psychiatrist

This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at The Farndon Unit in Newark. Th unit houses 47 beds across five wards catering for female patients across secure and non-secure provisions. 20 of the beds are in low secure category (Bolero and Cortland Wards), 9 beds offer locked high-dependency psychiatric rehabilitation (Aster Ward) and the last 18 of the beds are in our acute wards (12 on Ruby Frost and 6 on Darcy Ward).

You will act as a Responsible Clinician for 18 inpatients across the low secure and acute wards, which will see you have CCT in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.  

You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing trauma therapy and utilises positive behavioural support to empower and assist service users in their recovery.  

The Farndon Unit is located in Newark and is part of IMPACT Provider Collaborative in the region with close links to NHS services with established care pathways. The Farndon Unit has excellent transport links and is commutable from Lincoln, Nottingham, Leicester, Sleaford and Mansfield.
