About St Andrew’s

St Andrew’s is a not for profit Charity – we have no shareholders and any surplus we make is reinvested into our services. We are part of the Specialist Provider Collaboratives in the East and West Midlands and are a member of the East Midlands Alliance. Our services in Northampton, set in 150 plus acres of woodland greenery, are spread across 5 Divisions – Neuropsychiatry, Medium Secure, Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation, Learning Disability and Autism, and CAMHS. We have a number of unique specialist national services including for Acquired Brain Injury (Secure and Non-Secure), Deaf Forensic, Huntington’s disease, Older Adults (Secure and Non-Secure), Blended Women’s (one of 3 National Pilots) and specialist inpatient DBT.

About the ward – Church

We are looking forward to the opening of Church Ward, a new 10-bed ward in the Neuropsychiatry Division. It will be a non-secure male admission ward for Acquired Brain Injury. Our purpose on Church Ward will be to support patients with complex mental health and physical needs, to develop co-produced individualised care plans, to provide neuro-behavioural rehabilitation and enable patients to move on to the community. Our aim is to engage patients in their rehabilitation and deliver exceptional individualised care. You will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, to truly make a difference to our patients’ lives.

The Service

Our Neuropsychiatry Division offers specialist services for patients with Acquired Brain Injury, Dementia and Huntington’s disease. With the opening of Church Ward the Division will have 130 beds across these services. The care and rehabilitation offered in the Division is recognised for being at the forefront of innovation, for its excellence in service delivery and for its ability to manage and reduce the risks associated with these conditions.

The Neuropsychiatry Division offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The service uses a variety of outcomes, both patient and quality improvement focused, to complement clinical decisions and guide strategic direction. This service is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and a holistic approach is taken to patient care and treatment.
