A fantastic opportunity is available for a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an interest in Urogynaecology.

Their comprehensive health services are delivered by a dedicated workforce of over 7000 professionals. These experts operate across two acute hospitals, three community hospitals, and an extensive network of over 100 community sites, encompassing even home-based care.

You will be expected to be able to undertake Urogynaecology surgery independently.

The job is cross site with the expectation of cross site working in two acute hospitals.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To work in collaboration with colleagues within the clinical unit in general gynaecology.
  • To fulfil the role of a general Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
  • To participate in Intrapartum Obstetrics to ensure provision of out of hours consultant presence as required by the RCOG and the Ockenden report.
  • SPA time will be used for clinical management duties, clinical audit, research, clinical governance, teaching and training, and reflective practice.

Minimum requirements:

  • Full registration with GMC and on the specialty register or within 6 months of CCT.
  • Evidence of training, experience, and independent practice in Obstetrics, General Gynaecology & Urogynaecology.
  • ATSM in Urogynaecology.
  • Evidence of training in urodynamics.
