Job Title: Consultant Ecologist

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Location: Wiltshire

We have the ideal opportunity for a Consultant Ecologist, or Assistant Ecologist who's ready to step up within a specialist and independent family-run ecology consultancy in Wiltshire.

As a Consultant Ecologist you'll receive:

  • £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, with 3 days per week in the office
  • Excellent progression opportunities

As a Consultant Ecologist your duties will be:

  • Providing ecological consultancy to a varied range of projects across different sectors from individual householders architects, landowners, government and utilities
  • Leading and coordinating field surveys
  • Leading field surveys and managing survey data
  • Undertaking mapping using QGIS
  • Producing ecological reports, including PEAs, PRAs, BNG assessments and Protected Species Surveys.

To be considered for the Consultant Ecologist position, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant area, such as Ecology, Biology or Zoology
  • Proven experience within ecological consultancy
  • Willingness to complete field surveys and travel to different sites
  • Experience producing ecological reports
  • BNG experience and holding protected species licences is desirable
  • A full valid UK/EEC driving licence and your own car
