Construction Planner - Devon
A regional contractor who has a multitude of schemes across the region is looking to appoint an aspiring or experienced planner to join their expanding team for a range of exciting and prestigious schemes. Works include Healthcare, Local Authority, Education and Leisure.

As the planner, you will be responsible for the planning function on medium, large or complex tenders and sites involving detailed analysis of large volumes of information ensuring that the optimum sequence to deliver the project is reflected in the programme.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce fully linked Project Programme for Site, Tender or Pre-qualification purposes to identify critical path, float, risk and opportunity
  • Ensuring full consideration is given to all restrictions including client and third party approvals and is produced with pre-construction, design and procurement programmes as required
  • Collaborate with other company staff to ensure that works are planned and organised
  • Compile prelim books for adjudication
  • Ensure client reporting requirements are always met
  • Independently assess progress against programmes and report findings
  • Develop the Programme and supporting documents in line with the form of Contract
  • Prepare cause and effect programmes and narrative to assess impact on the Programme
  • Work with the commercial team to ensure effective management of Total Costs
  • Understand business need for positive cash flow and plan works accordingly
  • Ensure that the site Health Safety and Environmental Plans are in line with HSE legislation and review their potential impact upon work sequencing

For this position, you must have experience using Asta Powerproject, have a relevant driving licence.
