What the day will look like

Every day at Aon will be wide and varied with regular liaison with claims colleagues, market experts, our broking teams and carriers. Your portfolio of clients will be at the forefront in everything you do as you continue to provide a concierge level of service. As a Claims Advocate at Aon some of your key daily responsibilities will include:

  • Advising and guiding your clients on policy coverage
  • Leading the claims negotiation process through active Advocacy with clients, insurers, experts and loss adjusters
  • Leading the claims relationship with major clients, including regular meetings and the delivery of claims reports
  • Claims data analysis and reporting to identify areas and trends of concern
  • Aligning with all regulatory requirements and business procedures
  • Maintaining a robust claims diary with regular reviews
  • Being actively involved in new business opportunities, including the preparation of tenders and participating in new business pitches

How this opportunity is different,

This is much more than a "post office" style role. Here at Aon you're an extension of your clients' business and will focus on delivering first-class service at all times. You'll be working very closely with the client broking teams and will play an active part in renewal preparations when required too.

Skills and experience that will lead to success include:

  • Knowledge of the U.K. and International construction market
  • Technical and complex construction claims handling experience ideally gained from the London market arena
  • Outstanding commercial competence and negotiation skills
  • An analytical mindset underpinned by fact-based decision making and problem-solving expertise
  • Proven interpersonal skills capable of adapting to domestic and international clients, business colleagues and external bodies.
