Our client, a leading Mental Health Charity, is seeking a dedicated Compliance and Housing Support Officer to join our team in the southwest. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and compliance of our licensees and tenants. You will be part of a collaborative environment, working towards our shared vision of enabling others to reach their potential.
 
In this full-time permanent role, you will be responsible for conducting compliance and housing checks, managing arrears, and providing essential support to our service users. Your impact will extend to overseeing the cleanliness of properties, addressing anti-social behavior, and building positive relationships with clients and external partners.
 
  • Drive compliance and housing checks to ensure the safety and dignity of our licensees and tenants
  • Manage arrears and provide support for income maximization, playing a crucial role in the financial well-being of our service users
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address ASB issues, support tenancy retention, and facilitate positive move-ons from our service
 
Preferred Requirements:
 
  • Housing training/qualifications and a clean, full Driving License with the use of a car
  • Previous experience of working within social housing and conflict management
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to work in a challenging environment
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Relevant experience in mental health or a comparable field (desired but not essential)
  • Knowledge of benefits and changes in the field
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and provide guidance in challenging situations with great attention to detail
