Absolute Recruit are delighted to have partnered with a privately owned multi-division construction company who are recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for preparing the management accounts for several entities and overseeing day-to-day finance operations and support leading the finance team.
  
This role will suit an ambitious accountant who can work autonomously and as part of a team and is keen to develop in their career. The company has a great culture, provides flexible working and is happy for this role to be fully remote with occasional travel to their London office.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Overseeing the operational finance team
  • Support with statutory accounts and audit
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns and CIS returns
  • Provide financial analysis and modelling
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Implement, develop and maintain internal processes, controls and systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a similar Management Accountant role in the construction sector
  • Experience managing/supervising a finance team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ideally COINS) and good Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
