Community Officer

Sutton

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £36,500 - £37,000

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of older people? Our client, a local charity, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Officer to join their team.

As the Community Officer, you will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate a range of commissioned health services. Your role will involve working closely with the senior leadership team to maintain relationships with commissioners and professionals in the health and social care system.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and support to operational colleagues working in services across the Borough of Sutton
  • Shaping the delivery of specialist services at our client's organisation and developing new activities to benefit older people
  • Championing a person-centred approach to support older people in exercising choice and taking control
  • Building rapport and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including commissioners, partner providers, and healthcare professionals
  • Motivating and inspiring a frontline staff team, ensuring effective communication and understanding of key issues affecting older people
  • Driving the promotion and marketing strategy for all services within the Health Services team
  • Monitoring service delivery to ensure compliance with contract KPIs and overseeing data management and analysis to demonstrate impact and support future development
  • Supporting the development and review of assessment and outcomes frameworks, as well as producing quarterly reports on service delivery and insights
  • Leading the development and delivery of commissioned health services, working with local partners to share best practise and identify opportunities for collaboration
  • Line managing a team, evaluating performance, and promoting team cohesion and wellbeing

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You should have a strong understanding of key issues affecting older people and familiarity with the commissioning environment. Experience in managing staff and coordinating service delivery is essential.
