Job Title: Locum Community Mental Health Nurse - Band 6

Location: Birmingham, UK

Duration: 3-6 Months Contract

Pay: £24-26ph

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Locum Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team for a temporary assignment.

Job Description: As a Locum Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6), you will play a crucial role in providing holistic care and support to individuals with mental health needs within the community setting. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including medication management, counseling, and psychoeducation.
  • Monitor individuals' progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to coordinate care and support services.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals' families and carers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Mental Health Nurse in a community setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with a range of mental health conditions, including psychosis, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
