Position: Community Development Officer working for a NON PROFIT
Location: Warwickshire (covering Nuneaton, Rugby, and Bedford)
Employment Type: Full-time, remote work with occasional weekend or evening meetings

As the Community Develoment Officer you will work a 35 hour week managing your time and must live within a commutable distance due to attending face to face meetings

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain plans to meet the needs of 3rd party partners and community groups.
  2. Build long-term relationships with clients, community partners, and influencers.
  3. Identify and communicate new sales and cross-selling opportunities.
  4. Stay informed about local and financial marketplace competition.
  5. Promote and maintain a positive company image.
  6. Arrange promotional activities for potential members.
  7. Provide support to community influencers promoting the client.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and local groups.
  9. Provide input into developing new savings and loan products.
  10. Assist in developing marketing and promotional plans.
  11. Represent the client at suitable events.
  12. Utilize media/social media opportunities.
  13. Assist with data management and record updating.

Key Relationships:

  1. CEO: Main spokesperson and line manager.
  2. Senior Management Team (SMT) and Marketing Specialist: Collaborate on products and services.
  3. Colleagues across the business: Ensure compliance and policy alignment.

Essential Skills:

  1. Ambition for growth and a love of challenges.
  2. Commercial mindset.
  3. Strong organizational skills, including data management.
  4. Excellent communication skills, including senior-level presentations.
  5. Experience in developing relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
  6. Experience in a regulated environment, preferably Financial Services.
  7. Strong social media management and lead generation experience.
  8. Commitment to the cooperative approach.
  9. Knowledge of and passion for communities.
  10. Proven record of maintaining a pipeline of potential strategic contacts.

Desirable Skills:

  1. B2B/B2C sales management experience.
  2. Understanding of issues concerning the financially excluded.
  3. Understanding of local charity and government support for low-income families.
