Location- Guilden Morden, Royston, Cambridgeshire.

Dedicated key work £13.00 per hour.

Reed Community Care has a great opportunity for a support worker to join us in supporting one of our clients. We are looking for a dedicated support worker to support a young woman in her 20’s looking for support around the clock in the family home. You will need to be consistent and flexible in your approach, she will need someone who is committed to working with her to gain new skills and to live an independent life. You will be able to support the client when they’re very anxious and can present with some challenges. You work in a person centred way and able to develop strong working relationships with both the client and her family.

We are looking for a support worker who can support the client with.

Arts and crafts

You are able to encourage and support her to manage daily tasks. We are looking for a support worker who enjoys a challenge and can bring out the best in people, working in creative ways to encourage positive outcomes. To support the client to go shopping and cook their own meals as well as support her with her daily living skills at home. To be able to use her car to support her to access activities as she very much enjoys travelling. To also be able to learn to support her on the occasion she will need assistance with behaviours.

As a support worker for Reed Community Care you will benefit from:

The ideal worker will have:

Minimum of 1 years’ experience in health and social care.

Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care. 

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a wider team.
