Exciting Opportunity for Community Psychiatric Nurse in Oxford!

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for community care? Ready to embark on a fulfilling new challenge? We're seeking dynamic individuals to join our team in Oxford.

  • Job Role: Community Psychiatric Nurse – Older Adults
  • Band: 6
  • Location: Oxford
  • Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
  • Schedule: 4 days a week, from 07:30 to 17:30
  • Start date: Immediate
  • Pay Rate: £27 per hour

A Day in the Life of an RMN: As a dedicated mental health nurse specializing in community care, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate support to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular visits to patients in the community, ensuring their needs are met and providing necessary assistance.
  • Administering medication on schedule, tailored to individual patient requirements.
  • Engaging with patients to comprehend their conditions thoroughly, enabling you to provide effective support and monitor progress.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments to maintain a safe environment for patients and those around them.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Active registration with the NMC as a mental health nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in community care.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
