Community Psychiatric Nurse – North Yorkshire (Ongoing)

  • Band: 6 Location: North Yorkshire
  • Duration: 3 months (with potential for ongoing extension)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Rate of Pay: £24 - £25 per hour

A Day in the Life of an RMN: Embark on a fulfilling journey as a mental health nurse specialising in community care, where your role is pivotal in delivering compassionate support to patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular visits to patients within the community to assess and address their evolving needs.
  • Administering medication in accordance with prescribed schedules to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Engaging with patients to comprehend their unique conditions, facilitating tailored interventions and monitoring progress.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments to maintain a safe environment for patients and mitigate potential hazards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Active registration with the NMC as a mental health nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in community healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Aptitude for both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
