Communities Activities Assistant

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £23,152 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking experience in a community focused and professional setting, by supporting the delivery of social, learning, creative and physical activities. We are looking for someone who thrives on working with people of all ages and from all backgrounds and is willing and able to support a team of experienced community development officers.

The post holder will assist with a range of groups an activity, including youth groups, lunch clubs, art groups and community events in a job that offers huge variety and development opportunities for the right candidate.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of assisting with group work as a volunteer, student or employee
  • Experience of dealing directly with the public
  • Ability to use and access emails and to use basic MS Office software
  • Good verbal communication skills, one to one and in groups.
  • A commitment to working in an inclusive way and a desire to have a positive impact on the community of Salisbury
  • A positive attitude to all tasks from setting up rooms, to playing team games with young people, from serving meals to preparing craft resources.
