Location: Burgh Island (Live-in accommodation is available, subject to availability. This starts at £25.00 per week)

Salary up to £28500 depending on experience

A fantastic opportunity to join a wonderful team at one of Devon's oldest Inns, situated in the relaxed coastal hideaway of Burgh Island, enjoy your favourite drinks and fresh, seasonal food while soaking up stunning views.

Your role will be to assist the Head Chef in the maintenance of the highest standard of food preparation and presentation. Developing your skills under the tutelage of the Head Chef and assisting with many more duties to develop your career as a chef.

Responsibilities for the role:

· Prepare dishes to the highest standard of quality, safety, and consistency.

· Ensure recipes are followed to avoid cross-contamination.

· Ensure standards are followed.

· Work as part of a team.

· Take part in Training.

· Follow standards relating to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.

· Ensure the chef is informed where food or supplies need to be ordered.

· Check the quantity and quality of received products.

· Ensure Head Chef is informed of equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.

· Ensure breakfast is presented and served to hotel standards.

· Assist KP section where required.

General duties:

· Follow hotel procedures should staff be required to exit the building

· Ensure staff do not enter unauthorised areas

· To feedback on any matters of concern to the Hotel Manager, as soon as possible
