Job Title: Commercial Reporting Accountant

About the Business:

We are representing a dynamic property business. Our client is currently in search of a proficient Commercial Reporting Accountant to ensure the timely and precise delivery of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and compliance with tax obligations. This role also involves providing crucial support to the Financial Accounting Manager and Head of Financial Reporting.

Working Pattern:

Based in Kingswinford, this role offers a hybrid work setup.

Main Duties:

  • Production of monthly financial account packages for each trading subsidiary
  • Ownership of profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, all adhering strictly to reporting deadlines.
  • Assume full ownership of the financial figures within your subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of work carried out by more junior staff, promptly investigating any discrepancies.
  • Generate insightful variance reports accompanied by detailed commentary, oversee capital expenditure reporting, and conduct meticulous reviews of bad debt.
  • Partner a range of operational, non finance staff
  • Oversee the production of year-end financial statements at subsidiary level, including the compilation of audit packs and coordination with external auditors.

What We Are Looking For

  • A CIMA/ACCA/ACA finalist or qualified who is keen to grow and progress
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and a proactive approach to seeking guidance when needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction across all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilience in meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks with ease.
  • Innate innovation with a passion for identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in systems, particularly advanced Excel, is highly desirable.
