Property/Real estate Underwriter (Renewals/New business).
Location: Manchester - 2-3 days in office
Salary: Negotiable

We're strengthening our team at Plum Underwriting and looking for a Property/Real Estate Underwriter to join the team as we continue to grow.

You'll be underwriting profitable renewals and new business on a day to day basis and assisting a brokers with the smooth running of existing policies.

The day to day:

  • Pro-actively managing renewals & new business quotes for a property/real estate book
  • Underwriting residential and commercial property/real estate risks within guidelines
  • Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner
  • Actively engaging with brokers to ensure Camberford are their first port of call on new business enquiries
  • Ensuring SLA's are met and timely issuance of documentation

Your experience:

  • Ideally you'll have 4-5 years' experience successfully underwriting a mixed property portfolio with exposure to both commercial and residential real estate/property owners risks
  • A varied skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
  • Previous experience within an MGA or commercial insurance underwriting role
