Key Responsibilities:

  1. Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise profitability and mitigate risks associated with civil subcontracting and 278 works.

  2. Contract Management: Manage all aspects of commercial contracts, including procurement, tendering, and contract negotiation, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  3. Cost Control: Oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting processes to optimise project cost-effectiveness and profitability.

  4. Quantity Surveying: Utilise your expertise in quantity surveying principles to accurately assess project costs, variations, and valuations.

  5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks through thorough risk assessment and proactive risk management strategies.

  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial management within the civil subcontracting and 278 works sector.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and commercial best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Excel and commercial management systems.
