Location: London, UK
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum + benefits (negotiable on experience)

Role Overview: As a Commercial Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the construction process. From initial estimates to final accounts, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and make a tangible impact on landmark developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute precise and comprehensive cost estimations, procurement strategies, and tender procedures.
  • Foster collaboration with project teams to ensure projects are delivered punctually and within budget constraints.
  • Identify and proactively address commercial risks, striving to optimize project profitability.
  • Thoroughly assess and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain vigilant oversight of project financial performance, furnishing regular reports to senior management.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members within the commercial team, fostering their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a focus on major projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
