Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client, a leading energy provider in the UK, in their search for a Commercial Lawyer!

The Commercial Lawyer will collaborate closely with the Head of Legal and other team members to deliver timely and high-quality legal advice to support our fast-paced business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Legal to provide a broad range of legal advice to the business.
  • Independently manage the provision of timely and high-quality legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team, business divisions, and senior management to address legal and regulatory issues.
  • Provide general advice on commercial contracts and draft, review, and negotiate various agreements.
  • Liaise with internal and external specialist lawyers on areas such as Intellectual Property,
  • Energy/utilities, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist the Corporate Governance and Compliance functions with ad hoc queries.

You must have the relevant qualifications with 1-4 years post-qualification experience. Must have strong drafting and negotiation skills as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
