Commercial Lawyer (Advertising)

12 month contract (day rate contract)

London (remote working)

The role

• Support and advise multiple senior stakeholders in our online advertising business, including Ad Sales team, with a focus on efficiency and building relationships.
• Negotiate contracts with advertisers and vendors, including ads sales agreements, ad tech agreements, strategic partnership agreements, brand licensing agreements and more.
• Regularly collaborate closely with experienced attorneys on Commercial Legal team to identify, create, and implement improvements to our contracting procedures.
• Lead internal guidance pages, contract templates, and clause libraries for EMEA.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across Sales, Ads Product Management, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support members of the Legal and Policy teams on a wide range of EMEA legal matters, including ads policies, content policies, privacy frameworks, and the impact of EMEA laws and regulatory guidance.

The requirements

• Legal qualification from the UK or an EU jurisdiction
• Demonstrated experience on an in-house legal team supporting B2B Sale contracting, with prior experience at a social media or other technology company a plus.
• Familiarity with and understanding of online advertising and ad sales.
• Experience negotiating high-level strategic brand partnerships and vendor agreements.
• Experience negotiating insertion orders and other ads sales agreements is a significant plus.
