Commercial Insurance Broker

An opportunity to become a key member of an established, independent general insurance broker who specialise in high value commercial risks in niche sectors.

The role of the Commercial Insurance Broker will involve close collaboration with clients to provide support and guidance as well as maintaining strong relationships with insurers. Candidates will need to have experience working within commercial insurance.

As a key member in a small team, your duties and responsibilities will include;

- Obtaining accurate risk information

- Uploading risk data onto insurer platforms to obtain quotes

- Preparing underwriting presentations for larger and more complex risks

- Resolving underwriter queries

- Negotiating with insurers to obtain favourable terms

- Managing the renewal process

- Arranging mid-term adjustments

- Explaining cover and any warranties to clients

- Invoicing

- Ensuring policy documents are issued

- Resolving client queries

- Updating information on the CRM system and MS Excel

- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

This is not a targeted sales environment and is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and insurers and who excels at providing a knowledgeable & professional advisory service.

What you need to know;

• Salary - up to £40,000 - depending on level of expertise and knowledge
• Hybrid working - 4 days in office with 1 day at home
• Location - Bayswater W2, 8 minute walk from Paddington Station on the Elizabeth Line and 3 minutes walk from Royal Oak tube station on the Hammersmith & City line.
