Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager - Project Delivery


Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)


Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus Car Allowance and other benefits


Company Overview: Concept-IT are delighted to be partnering with a successful Technology business who are commencing a period of exciting grow. Due to the ambitious plans, we are now looking for a Qualified finance professional to join the dynamic team as Commercial Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Group CEO this is a highly visible and pivotal role within the organisation. You will possess a proven track record in project delivery ideally within the technology space and play a huge part in optimising financial strategies and driving successful project outcomes.


Position Overview: As a Commercial Finance Manager specialising in project delivery, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring their profitability and success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to support effective decision-making and project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, coupled with demonstrated experience in managing projects within a commercial environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, ROI assessment, and scenario modelling, to evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and maximize project profitability.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and assess commercial viability.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes, incorporating relevant insights into financial strategies and decision-making.


Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience a in a similar role, with a focus on project finance and commercial management.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to synthesise data into actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of driving project success through effective financial management and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
