Commercial Finance Manager

£62,500 to £67,500 plus Benefits

ABPM Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic retail business who are looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join their team!

Amongst your key duties, the following exist:

• Handle all aspects of budgeting, including annual financial planning, regular forecasts, and risk management. Prepare comprehensive budgeting packs.
• Create sales and profit and loss reports including sales reporting, budget summaries, and cost analysis.
• Provide insightful analysis of sales, gross margin, and profitability drivers. Offer recommendations for profit enhancement.
• Actively participate in review meetings with internal teams, including budget/forecast updates, performance reviews, and cost control sessions.
• Contribute to the development of processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain and develop financial models, ensuring data integrity and delivering valuable insights for business decisions.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA). Proven experience in finance management reporting against budgets/forecast updates within the retail, services or FMCG sectors.
• Understanding integrated ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex model building and maintenance.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and well-organized.
• Effective prioritization and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
• Commercially oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
