Commercial Finance Analyst

Altum Consulting are pleased to be working with a FTSE 250 Technology Business based in Reading to secure a Commercial Finance Analyst. The Commercial Finance Analyst will support all business departments, and adding value through insightful data analysis which guides operational and strategic decision making at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities,

  • You will be producing new analysis on our performance across a range of variables;
  • Propose and implement any improvements you identify to existing analysis, helping to make them robust and repeatable;
  • Working closely with the Senior Management (including the CFO) and their direct reports on a day-to-day basis, using financial information to inform them on business performance or decisions;
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and longer term strategic planning across the company;
  • Demonstrate aptitude for understanding numbers and making commercial recommendations from that information. You will need resilience to deal with the challenges that Senior Management will make when making significant decisions

Required Experience,

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong academic credentials.
  • Typical experience level - 0-1 years post qualification
  • Strong analytical skills and mind-set.
  • Excellent communicator, oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, must be self-motivated, industrious and work well under pressure.
  • Evidence of people management experience.
  • First class interpersonal skills and level-headed approach.
  • Confident and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
