Commercial Finance Analyst

£47,000 + full study support + package

London (Hybrid working)

Global consumer brand / retail business is seeking to recruit a commercial finance analyst with strong budgeting and forecasting experience. This broad analyst position looks after the UK estate of one of the company's biggest brands, plus has responsibility for analysis around labour / workforce planning.

As well as regular financial analysis, you will also lead on projects for your brand, including new product initiatives and new store investment appraisals.

This role would suit a CIMA or ACCA studier with experience of working with senior non-finance staff.

Main responsibilities

  • Weekly sales / margin / product / footfall numbers for the brand trading pack
  • Production of management accounts with high level commentaries, considering financial and non-financial KPI's
  • Budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting responsibilities
  • Development of overhead reports and analysis around labour / store staffing levels
  • Product analysis for business unit
  • Working with marketing teams to assess success of campaigns and manage budgets
  • Ad hoc project work around systems roll outs

Your background

  • Part qualified accountant / studier preferred (CIMA / ACCA)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables / SumIF / Lookups) - essential
  • Retail / Consumer brand industry experience preferable but not essential
  • SAP and / or Power BI experience beneficial
  • Comfortable presenting data and providing challenge to senior non-finance people
