Commercial Finance Analyst | Luxury Fashion Scale-Up | London/Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a world-renowned luxury fashion scale-up in their search for a Commercial Finance Analyst. The business has a fantastic loyal customer base but continues to grow their presence in the luxury market with an increasing reach across Europe and America.

Growing 30% year on year and now at circa £45m revenue, it is an incredibly exciting time to join the business, with further growth projected in 2024. This role offers flexibility to work hybrid, with 3 days a week in the new bespoke office, while career progression is highly prioritised, with three members of the finance team being promoted in 2024 alone. The team regularly plan socials, fashion-related events and opportunities to access discounted products.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager in a wider finance team of 12, you will be responsible for financial analysis, planning and budgeting for the wider business, while partnering with teams such as supply chain and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing financial analysis on the P&L and balance sheet, providing recommendations to the CFO
  • Supporting with budgeting, forecasting and KPI analysis
  • Partnering with department leads to update rolling forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities against the budget
  • Identifying cost saving and sales maximising opportunities
  • Analysing Opex expenditure
  • Liasing with the Management Accountants and transactional finance team for month-end reports and analysis
  • Continuously drive system and process improvements within finance
  • Conducting variance analysis
  • Ad-hoc finance duties when required

What we need to see (essential):

  • Experience in FMCG/consumer goods
  • 18 months - 2 years working FP&A/commercial finance
  • Studying towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Commercial acumen
  • Great communication skills and experience working in small teams
  • Proficient excel and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to numerical details
  • Desire to work in a growing business

What we would like to see (Bonus):

  • Background in luxury retail (fashion, cosmetics, etc)
  • Experience in an SME

Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 + study support

Location: London (3 days a week in office)

Start date: ASAP
