A local broker in York who have been a key part of the area for over 15 years have an opportunity for an experienced Account Handler.

They are looking for a Commercial / SME Account Handler to join their established team to take up the servicing and retention of existing clients and support with new business from time to time.

Main duties will include:

  • Building strong relationships with clients and understanding insurance needs
  • Dealing with premiums ranging from £500 to £50,000
  • Dealing with renewals and pro-actively ensuring a high retention level
  • Communicating with Underwriters on a daily basis and building strong relationships
  • Broking risks for renewals and new business
  • Using a selection of online insurer portals to place new business and renewals
  • Working alongside the Directors on a daily basis

The salary is flexible depending on experience and would go up to c£36k for the right person. They also have a hybrid working week of 3 days in and 2 at home.
