About the role

The Hartfields coffee shop, partnering with Costa, is open to the residents and public 7 days a week for breakfast, lunches, afternoon cake and coffee and for booking parties and events. It is set in the extra care community which consists of self-contained properties with residents who can choose whether to eat in the coffee shop, in their own homes or elsewhere. The vibrant coffee shop in Hartfields offers a multi choice, varied menu, which is nutritionally well balanced. Ingredients are locally sourced where possible, contributing to the sustainability of the wider community.

We are now seeking to recruit into the role of Coffee Shop Manager who will oversee the management of the catering delivery within our Hartfields community. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that residents, staff, and the public receive an exceptional customer service experience from welcome to departure. They will also be required to manage and coach staff, along with management of all aspects of health, safety and security within the facility.

About you

We would like our Coffee Shop Manager to have previous management experience, ideally working in a commercial branded environment, such as a high street coffee shop or branded restaurant. Ideally, you will also have worked as a Barista and have a good understanding of kitchen production at excellent standards.

You will hold an appropriate catering qualification and have relevant catering experience. With a minimum of Level 2 Food Safety qualification, you will have experience with EHO regulations in relation to food safety. You will also have an awareness and experience of implementing nutritional and dietary requirements.

You will thrive on working under pressure and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will have experience of compiling and managing budgets, along with expenditure monitoring.
