Our client is an established and leading Precision Engineering company, their extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities of modern multi-axis machining, grinding, 3D printing/additive manufacturing and EDM processes allows them to provide fully controlled turn-key solutions to a variety of demanding industry sectors.

Due to ongoing investment in their capability, they are looking to recruit a Time Served CNC Miller and a Time Served CNC Turner, with the ability to programme and operate a variety of machines, work to tight tolerances and have a good understanding of geometric symbols. The successful candidate will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, extracting the correct data to meet customer demands.

This is a Shift based position operating a double day's pattern (as below) and rotate weekly following a training period on day shift.

  • Early Shift - Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-11am
  • Back Shift - Monday to Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 11am-4pm

Salary levels for these roles is £46,200 per annum, inclusive of a 33% shift premium.

Experience Requirements:

  • Time-served Miller or Turner with recent CNC experience
  • Experience of programming and operating CNC Milling machines
  • Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Self-motivated with an eye for detail and effective communication skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and enjoy working within a small skilled team
  • Customer Service experience is essential, along with excellent people skills
