Registered to AS9100 Rev D, ISO9001 2008 and Nadcap special purpose EDM machining, specialising in the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial sectors.
Coupled with an "in-house" design and technical department for prototype development and manufacture of systems and assemblies.
Job Profile
As the successful CNC Turner, your main function will be to Program, Set and Operate CNC Lathes, checking dimensions in line with the inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines.
Duties:
- Create Programs and Set / Operate Mazak CNC Lathes (including bar feeds).
- Produce first-off components for inspection, working to fine tolerances.
- Ensure components are produced as per specifications and drawings.
- Inspect components during production.
- Clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.
Skills & Attributes:
- Experience with Programming setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes.
- Be conversant with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls.
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.
- Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC turner's role.
- Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.
Hours of Work:
- 39 hours a week (Day & Night Shifts available)
- 33% Shift Premium for Night Shift
